One of the major difference between arteries and veins is that the arteries carry oxygenated blood to all the body parts whereas veins carry deoxygenated blood to the heart.

Veins are generally large,carry more blood and have thinner walls

Arteries are smaller have thicker walls and carry blood under high pressure.

Arteries are bright red in colour.

Veins are blue or bright blue in colour.
