Arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart while Veins carry oxygen- poor blood back from the body to the heart❤

It carries blood from the tissues of the body back to the heart.
They are actually positioned closer beneath the surface of the skin.
They are less muscular than Arteries,but they do contain valves which keeps blood flowing in the right direction usually towards the heart.
Would collapse if the blood flow stops.

Positioned deeper inside the body.
More muscular than veins which helps the transportation of the blood full of oxygen.
Would generally remain open if the blood flow stopped.
