.arteries have smaller lumens than vein
. arteries have high blood pressure while veins have lower and hardly any blood pressure
.arteries dont have valves veins have valves
.arteries carry oxygenated blood away from the heart to various organs of the body while veins carry deoxygenated blood towards the heart from the various organs... the only exceptions being the pulmonary artery and vein.
.arteries have highly elastic and muscular walls while veins dont have elastic and highly muscular walls.

3-walls of arteries are very thick and cavity of arteries are very narrow
4-the capacity of arteries does not change
5-all the arteries carry pure oxygenated blood except pulmonary artery
