There are two types of blood vessels. They are :-
- The blood vessels that carry oxygenated blood from the heart to other parts of the body are known as arteries.
- Each artery has three parts, namely :-
- The intima
- The mediaa
- The adventitia
- The blood vessels that carry deoxygenated blood to the heart from other parts of the body, for further purification are called veins.
