Artificial silk are the man made silk made in factories by using certain kind of chemicals. natural silk are those silk which are obtained from silkworm or simply as from nature.

• 2. Burn both textiles separately and note the odour that results

• 1. Natural silk or pure silk will be the cloth that burns and has a burning hair odour.

Wool is composed of proteins, just like silk. As a result, a swatch of woollen cloth burns, emitting a burning hair odour.
