Arteries carry oxygenated blood whereas veins carry deoxygenated blood.
Arteries : (direction ) from heart to body parts
whereas veins : from body parts to heart .
Arteries: Thick walls
veins : thin walls
Arteries : Thicker walls (elasticity)
veins : thinner walls (elasticity)
Arteries : no valves are present
veins : valves are present
Arteries : exception-pulmonary artery +umbilical artery
