Asexual reproduction :

  • The production of young ones by a single parent without the formation and fusion of gametes is called asexual reproduction.
  • Here fertilization is absent.
  • It cannot be any variation.
  • It is primitive method of reproduction that is similar than sexual reproduction.

Sexual reproduction :

  • Production of young ones by the formation and fusion of special cells contribute generally by two parents is called sexual reproduction.
  • Here fertilization is present.
  • It being variation.
  • Unlike asexual reproduction the young ones are not genetically identical to the parents.

Sexual Reproduction:

The fusion of male and female cells to form

structure called zygote ( involvement of both cells) is called Sexual Reproduction.

Asexual reproduction:

Production of baby plants with involvement of one cell (without formation of seeds) is known as Asexual reproduction
