symmetrical fold is one in which the axial plane is vertical. An asymmetrical fold is one in which the axial plane is inclined. An overturned fold, or overfold, has the axial plane inclined to such an extent that the strata on one limb are overturned

Answer:

In asymmetrical fold, the axial plane of the fold is inclined which divides the fold asymmetrically. In asymmetrical fold, both sides of the fold are different.

On the other side, the axial plane of the symmetrical fold is vertical which divides the fold symmetrically. In symmetrical folds both sides of the fold are almost equal.
