Ide is an ion

Ade is atom

Ide-- unstable, poisonous, smells badly

Ate-- stable, non poisonous,odourless

“ide” ion is formed when one monoatomic element,coverts into ions

“Ate” is formed when an polyatomic or any compound with more then one oxygen that is oxyanions forms compound.

And other then there physical properties they can be defined. as asopachitrita told,so m not including them.
