An atom is a smallest undivisible particle while a molecule is made when many atoms combine together .For example when two atoms of Hydrogen and One atom of oxygen combine then a molecule is formed.

Molecule

A molecule is the tiniest particle of an element or compound which has the properties of that element or compound.

A molecule is capable of independent existence.

Examples - Hydrogen molecule (H₂), an Oxygen molecule (O₂), Water molecule (H₂O)
