ATP - adenosine Triphosphate as the name suggests that it has 3 phosphate molecules , it is the energy currency of our body and ADP has 2 phosphate molecules in some cycles like krebs’ cycle and in the muscle contraction process ATP just splits into ADP + iP ( inorganic phosphate )

Answer:

Adenosine triphosphate (ATP) is considered by biologists to be the energy currency of life. It is the high-energy molecule that stores the energy we need to do just about everything we do.

ADP stands for adenosine diphosphate, and it's not only one of the most important molecules in the body, it's also one of the most numerous. ADP is an ingredient for DNA, it's essential for muscle contraction and it even helps initiate healing when a blood vessel is breached. Even with all those roles, however, there's one even more important: storing and releasing the energy within an organism..
