Martempering, Austempering and Patenting are processes in which transformation happens isothermally i.e. the transformation happens at a constant temperature. MARTEMPERING PROCESS: Austenize the steel. Quench the steel in a salt bath maintained at a temperature greater than the Ms temperature (usually 30–40 degree C).
