  1. It is a type of nutrition in which organisms prepares its own food. Such organisms are called producers.
  2. Eg. Green Plants and algae.

Heterotrophic Nutrition:

  1. It is a type of nutrition in which organisms feed on producers like plant or some heterotrophic organisms like deer e.t.c. These organisms are called Consumers.
  2. Eg. Deer, Lion.

*Heterotrophs can further be classifieds as:

1) Herbivores

2) Carnivores

3) Omnivores

For autotrophic nutrition, chlorophyll and sunlight are required.

Heterotrophic Nutrition :-

In this mode of nutrition,  food is obtained from the autotrophs or another organisms.
