Difference between average direct normal irradiance and global horizontal irradiance

Global horizontal Irradiance is the total amount of shortwave radiation recieved from above by a surface horizontal to the ground. This value is if particular interest to photovoltic installation and includes both DNI and diffuse horizontal Irradiance.........
