difference between average speed and instantaneous speed

Average Speed- It is the ratio of total distance covered to the total time taken.
Instantaneous speed- It is the speed of particular instance of time.

Velocity is speed only there is only one difference that velocity comprises of direction and magnitude but speed just comprises of magnitude.
