Explanation:

1)the velocity with which the body covers the same distance in same time as body actually covered with variable velocities is known as average velocity whereas instantaneous velocity of body is defined as velocity of body at particular instant and as the time interval approaches zero.

2) average velocity between two times is equal to the slope of line joining two points on the position vs time graph whereas instantaneous velocity of an object at a particular time is equal to the slope of its position vs time graph at that time
