dendrites of a nerve cell set off a chemical reaction that creates an electrical impulse.

the axon is the place where the electrical impulse set off the release of some chemicals.

AXON:it is a tubular structure, the membrane is called axalemma and the cytoplasm is called axoplasm .neurofibrils are present but not nissl granule

DENDRITE :long fibrous structure

it receives stimulus

formation of synapse
