Baking soda is sodium hydrogen carbonate and baking powder is mixture of sodium hydrogen carbonate and edible acid such as oxalic acid

- It has no acidifying or drying agents.
- Product is baked immediately after adding baking soda.

- It constitutes of sodium carbonate, acidifying agent and drying agent.
- When double-acting baking powder is added, dough can be kept for some time before baking.
