Balanced and unbalanced equations.
Unbalanced equations are also known as skeletal equations.
The main difference is -
• In balanced equations, number of atoms are equal on both the sides, reactants side (L.H.S) and product side (R.H.S).
While in unbalanced equations, number of atoms aren't same on both the sides.
For example -
H2 + O 2 = H2O [ Unbalanced equation]
In this equation, Number of oxygen atoms are different on both sides.
While, here -
2H2 + O 2 = 2 H2O [ Balanced ]
Here, number of atoms of both hydrogen and oxygen are same on both sides.
