Difference between basic comparator and schmitt trigger

The only major difference is that a comparator will give either +vsat or -vsat according to the given input but in a schmitt trigger, the output voltage depends upon the voltage divider that is attached to the non inverting side of op-amp. The output voltage is + or - voltage divider times vsat which is not associated with comparator.
