Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka adopted a policy of majoritarian government.
Sri Lankans were divided into Sinhala speaking and Tamil speaking people.
Sinhala speaking people were majority in number.
They undertook policies that favoured Sinhala speaking people for university position and jobs.
An act was enacted to protect and foster Buddhism.
This made the Tamil srilankans to demand for an independent eelam state as no political parties supported them.
Belgium
Belgium government amended it's constitution three times to adopt a government.
The German speaking people and Dutch speaking people will be equal in central government and state government
Some special policies needed the support of majority member from each group.
They formed local government which controlled specific matters of linguistic group such as education etc
