difference between binary and multiple fission

binary fission refers to the division of the nucleus in two parts whereas in multiple fission the nucleus is divided in many several small parts and many daughter cells are formed as compared to binary fission where only two cells are formed.
binary fission takes place in amoeba.

MULTIPLE FISSION:-

1. it occurs when the environment condition are unfavourable for the organism.

2. A protection covering called cyst is formed outside the cell.

3. Many new individual are formed by this type of reproduction.
