Non- Biodegradable polymers are are solid substances that are made up of long carbon chains with strong chemical bonds between the atoms and hence are harder to be broken down by microbes. Synthetic non biodegradable polymers- common examples are Polythene, Polyvinylchloride (PVC), Polystyrene and Teflon.

Biodegradable polymers are a special class of polymer that breaks down after its intended purpose by bacterial decomposition process to result in natural byproducts such as gases (CO2, N2), water, biomass, and inorganic salts. !!!!!⚡⚡⚡
