Though both bone and blood are connective tissues there is a difference in their matrix.

The matrix in blood is fluid whereas the matrix in bone is hard.

The bone's matrix is composed up of calcium and phosphorus compounds. It is strong and non-flexible.

The matrix in blood is called plasma. It contains proteins, salts and hormones.
