These transforms use to enhance images through the morphological structures.
Top-Hat transform is obtained by subtracting the opening of the original image from the image itself.
top-hat=I - (I opening b).
Bottom-Hat transform is obtained through subtracting the original image from its closing.
bottom-hat = I -(I closing b).
Bowler-hat transform obtained through the two different bank of structuring element one bank of disk elements with varying radii, and one bank of line elements with varying radii and rotation.
bowler-hat =max | ( I opening Line ) - ( I opening Disk)|.
More information about the bowler-hat transform can be found in the paper.
