Brain is the highest cordination centre of the body whereas spinal cord can be called the second.
Brain is protected by cranium(skull) whereas spinal cord is protected by vertebral column(backbone).
Brain has three parts- forebrain, mid-brain and hind brain whereas all the nerves meets in bundles in the spinal cords.
