Difference between brownian movement and true bacterial motility in animal cell culture

Brownian movement is caused by the molecules of the suspending liquid (water) colliding with the organism. The movement is irregular or the cells appear to be vibrating. This does not demonstrate true motility. True motility is movement in some consistent direction or path and they may be twisting and turning.
