non-recurring/non-repeating
eg. expenditure on purchase of asset

benefit for such expenditure is obtained for a long period. (more than 1 year)

revenue expenditure

recurring expenses/repeating/daily uses
eg. rent,salary,electricity,repair
benefit of such expenditure is derived for less than i year. (within the year)
