Vector merely transports the disease and will not have any traces of the disease in its immune system. Example vector- mosquito. They take the disease (malaria) from an infected individual to an uninfected individual. They carry the infected agent such asblood. A disease vector itself is a carrier.
A carrier will have the infectiousagent but will not show symptoms of it. Example - carrier- human with HIV but not AIDS. Carriers are the disease reservoir in which a disease lives and can multiply. They do not have the disease themselves.
