Annual leaves are earned leaves( may be 2 days or 1.5 days for full attendance in a month- it's based on company policies). Certain amount of annual leaves can be carried forward in the next year.
Casual leaves are other set of leaves that you are entitled to receive in a year which is again based on you company policies. Casual leaves lapse by the end of the year if unconsumed.
Weekends are always excluded. So when you plan your holidays you ensure to work out in this manner. Hope this information helps.
