Cathode vs Anode

anode and cathode are two terms they are often used interchangeable with positive and negative in batteries .Most of the there is no problem with it as the definition would of match the practice . However, there are certain scenarios where this is not true .

The anod by definition where electricity flows into. In contrast the cathode is the where electrode electricity flows out of . If we look into battery connected to a lode, like a bulb for example, electricity flows to the poative terminal into the negative terminal . in this case the positive terminal is the anode and the negative terminal is cathode. But the battery is being charged the electricity is flose to the positive terminal instead of out of it. in this case the role are reversed and the positive terminal become anode and the negative terminal is cathode.
