Short Answer : Deccan Plateau is a part of Peninsular Plateau of India.

Long Answer :

Peninsular Plateau :

Peninsular Plateau is the largest physiographic unit of India , covering an area of about 16 lakh sq km ( almost half of total land area of India !).

It is more or less triangular in shape and its boundaries can roughly be defined as :

Northern : Southern edge of the North Indian plains ( Aravali to Rajmahal hills)

Western : Western Ghats

Eastern : Eastern Ghats

Southern : Southernmost tip of Indian mainland ( Kanyakumari ).

This Peninsular Plateau is an ancient block with several plateaus and hills as its part like Marwar Upland, Malwa Plateau,Central Highland , Bundelkhand Plateau, Baghelkhand Plateau, Chhotanagpur Plateau, Rajmahal hills, Meghalaya Plateau, Deccan Plateau and famous ranges like Vindhya , Satpura , Maikal, Mahadeoetc.

Deccan Plateau :

Deccan Plateau is the largest part of Peninsular Plateau ( about 1/3 rd of its area ).

It is bounded by Vindhya and Satpura in the north west, Maikal and Mahadeo in the north , Western and Eastern Ghats in the west and east respectively, and southernmost part upto Nilgiri hills.

It is subdivided into Maharashtra Plateau, Karnataka Plateau and Telangana Plateau.
