◆ Compound pendulum-
- Any swinging rigid body free to rotate about a horizontal axis is called compound pendulum.
- A compound pendulum has an extended mass, like a swinging bar.

◆ Centre of suspension-
- It's the point about which a pendulum oscillates.

◆ Centre of oscillation-
- It's a point in a pendulum at which if the mass were concentrated the period would be unchanged.
