Answer:

A major difference between centrifugal and centripetal force is the direction of each. Centrifugal takes place along the radius of the circle from the center out towards the object. For centripetal, it is the opposite, taking place also along the radius of the circle, but from the object in towards the center.

Centripetal force is the force which act towards the centre whereas centrifugal force is the force which act away from the centre

For example when you are rotating a string tied to a stone then the stone cannot move away because of the centripetal force whereas that away force is centrifugal force.

Centripetal force is a real force whereas centrifugal force is an unreal force.
