CENTRIOLE

  • it is the microtubule unit which makes the centrosome.
  • proteins starting with SPD-2 and then recuriment of SAS-4, SAS-5, SAS-6 and others.
  • forms a centrosome to produce the spindle fibres during the cell division; forms basal bodies that produce cilia and flagella

CENTROSOME

  • it is made up of two centrioles.
  • pericentriloar material organizes and arranges two centrioles into centrosome.
  • produces spindle fibres during cell division, plays a role in intracellular transport.
