Natural disasters are naturally occuring events which cannot be prevented by taking precautionary measures. These are caused by natural forces such as wind, air, water etc.  Example - floods, earthquakes, volcanic eruption etc.  Chemical disasters are those which occur due to carelessness in industrial manufacturing activities which could have been avoided by taking precautionary measures.  For example - Human or technical errors can cause chemical disasters.
