Chemical energy is the potential of a chemical substance to undergo a chemical reaction so that the substance transforms into other substances.

For example : batteries,Breaking or making of chemical bonds involves energy, which is chemical energy.

Mechanical energy is the energy that is possessed by an object due to its motion or due to its position. Mechanical energy can be either kinetic energy or potential energy . For example: When a dart gun is loaded and the springs are compressed, it possesses mechanical energy.
