Difference between chemical structure of starch and cellulose

Starch has alpha-glucose units which has cross links and linear links between alpha-glucose units . Cellulose has beta-glucose units which has linear links between them . Starch has two components, amylose which has linear links between them and amylopectin which has cross and linear links between them . Hope it helps you...
