chromonemata is the coiled filament in which the genes are located, which extends the entire length of a chromosome.
A chromosome is a packaged and organized structure containing most of the DNA of a living organism. This structure includes two identical parts that are connected by a Centromere. Each of these two identical parts is called a Chromatid.
