circular motion means moving in a circular path. Ex. - fan
straight line motion means travelling in a straight path.

1) Circular motion is the motion along the circumference of the circle or the path of the circle, whereas straight line motion is a line along a straight path..
2) Circular motion has no definite direction but Straight line motion has a well defined magnitude as well as direction...
3) Circular motion can have zero displacement after completing one complete round ( moving from the starting point to starting point which is also the final point), but straight line motion can have zero displacement after completing two points( moving to another point and then returning back to the starting point ).
4) The displacement of circular motion cannot always be a straight line, but the displacement of a straight line motion is always straight.
5) Example of circular motion: motion of a fan, motion of a wheel etc.
Example of straight line motion: train moving along a straight railway track , a straight moving bullet etc.
