It was a militant movement advocating even violence it necessary to end racism in the US.

The Black Power Movement was an anti-racist movement launched in Africa.

Differences:

1 The Black Power Movement emerged in 1966 and lasted till 1975. Whereas Civil Rights Movement emerged in 1954 and lasted till 1968.
