PROSTHETIC GROUPS:-
◑ These are non protein organic cofactors which get firmly attached to apoenzyme to form holoenzyme e.g heme, biotin, pyridoxal phosphate.
COFACTORS:-
◑ These are small, heat stable, non protein, inorganic and organic dialysable parts of conjugate enzymes. Inorganic Cofactors is generally a metal. Organic Cofactors can be coenzyme or prosthetic group.
