Collenchyma tissue:
1)Tissue :It is living mechanical tissue.
2)Evenness of thickening : Wall thickness is uneven.
3)Chemical nature: Wall thickening is of pectin and cellulose.
4)Cell cavity or Lumen :It is wide.
5)Food :It manufactures as well as stores food.
6)Hardness :It keeps the organs soft.
7)Major function :It provides flexibility as well as strength to the plant.

Sclerenchyma tissue :
1)Tissue:It is dead mechanical tissue.
2)Evenness of thickening :It is uniform.
3)Chemical nature: Wall thickening is made up of lignin.
4)Lumen or Cell cavity:It is narrow.
5)Food:It has no such function.
6)Hardness : It provides hardness.
7)Major function : It provides mechanical strength for facing various stresses.
