PARENCHYMA
- Parenchyma is an non-specialized simple permanent tissue.
- Their shape may be oval, round, polygonal or elongated in shape.
- They have thin cell wall made of cellulose.
- They have large inter-cellular spaces between them.
- They have nucleus in their cell and hence living.
- They are present in plant's roots, stems, leaves, flowers or fruits.
COLLENCHYMA
- Collenchyma is an specialized simple permanent tissue.
- Their shape may be transversed or longitudnal.
- They have thick wall with deposits of hemicellulose, and pectin.
- They have less inter-cellular spaces between them.
- They have nucleus in their cell and are living.
- It is found below epidermis of leaf stalk and leaf mid-ribs.
