The difference between colloid and suspension are as follows
1.colloids appears to be homogeneous but actually it is heterogeneous and suspension is heterogeneous mixture.
2.The particles of suspension can be seen easily but particles of colloid cannot be seen even with a high microscope.
3.particles of suspensions don't pass through filter paper but particles of collloids passes through filter paper.

Explanation:
Particles in a suspension are usually more than 1,000 nm, while those in a colloid range from 1-1,000 nm. Unlike those in a suspension, particles in a colloid do not separate when sitting still. The particles in a suspension may be separated by filtration unlike those in a colloid.
