difference between combution of saturated and unsaturated compounds

I think u mean --- difference between combustion of saturated and unsaturated hydrocarbons.....
on combustion saturated hydrocarbons gives a clean flame with no residue... whereas unsaturated hydrocarbon tends to give a slow flame with smoke and a lot of residue.... and if u burn a saturated hydrocarbon the energy that it gives will will be more if u burn the same amount of unsaturated hydrocarbon......
