difference between commercial farming and organic farming
Answers
heyy mate..!!!
here is ur answer..
Commercial farming is production (yield) and energy intensive, but land and labor saving. Medium to large commercial farmers own fairly largely farms (0.8 to 8 hectares in developing countries and 50 to more than 500 hectares in USA, Canada, Australia, Russia, Brazil, Europe) and cultivate maize and other crops, mostly for local or national markets. They are well-educated and adopt precision farming methods to maximize yield per unit area . Many of the farm operations are mechanized (e.g., land preparation, planting, harvesting, and shelling) to increase labor productivity. They plant mostly hybrid varieties of maize and other crops as a mono crop and rotate it with other crops like rice, wheat, soybean, canola, and so on. They apply adequate amounts of fertilizers and other inputs to get high yields. They use drones to monitor the crop health and take timely actions to prevent pest attacks and or to remedy nutrient deficiencies. A number of large farmers also follow conservation agriculture with reduced or zero tillage, soil mulching with residues or cover crops, and crop diversification ti minimize soil erosion, conserve resources.
While, on the other hand....
Organic farming is better for the environment. Organic farming practices reduce pollution, conserve water, reduce soil erosion, increase soil fertility, and use less energy. Farming without pesticides is also better for nearby birds and animals as well as people who live close to farms.
thank you...!!!
