Difference between community development and extension education

Community development programmer and extension education both are for welfare of the rural peoples.  These programmers are having more similarities than dissimilarities between these two concepts.  The difference between extension and community development, as revealed by the various statements of objectives, processes, forms and principles.

Extension education is the propagation of useful investigation findings and opinions between rural people to bring out acceptable changes in their human and cultural performance.

Community education, also recognized as community-based education is an organization's plans to encourage learning and social advancement work with people and organizations in their associations utilizing a range of legal and ordinary systems.
