Difference between composed and vermicomposed

when we say composed we mean that we are just leaving the waste as it is and letting it decompose without using any help .but when we say vermicomposed it means where we do the same task with the help of insects like red wrigglers earthworms and white worms .so in vermicomposting the waste is dumped in a pit and insects are put into the pit .☺
