1. compound can not be seprated .
2. A compound always form due to a chemical reaction.
3. A compound always contain elements in fixed ratio.
4. Heat is either taken in or given out when a compound is made.
5. elements react to form new compound.

mixtures :-
1. mix.can be seprated.
2. No chemical reaction take place when mix. is formed
3. mix. contain elements in any proportion
4. there is no heat taken in or given out when a mix. made
5. elments mix. together to form mix. not a new substance .
